Viviscal Tablets were highlighted in the May 2011 edition of InStyle magazine as a celebrity must-haves. (The information is on Page 240 in case you need to buy a copy and find out which celebrity uses it!)
Prior to this article, the February 2011 edition of Vogue Magazine also highlighted these tablets. Celebrity stylist Orlando Pita was quoted among others who recommended the tablets. (The information is on Page 151 in case you need to buy a copy to read the other testimonies!)
The tablets are described as 100 percent natural and designed to make hair grow long and healthy. I just bought my pack of 60 tablets. Each tablet is individually sealed by foil like "Sudafed" allergy tablets. You just break the foil as needed to get one out. I am only planning to take one a day versus the two a day recommended dosage according to the product instructions. I will keep you posted! By the way, the tablets do contain fish ingredients. The ingredients are clearly marked on the package just in case anyone has fish allergies.
If the tablets do make a difference, then I wonder what happens if you discontinue usage? They are expensive tablets to get "hooked" on!
These tablets are absolutely worth every dollar! I have been taking one a day for about three weeks. My nails alone stay strong even when they are wet! Yes! They are more pliable. I am maintaining more length! If I can see the difference in my nails, then I know that my hair is responding the same way. When I was taking the biotin, I saw increase in nail growth, but they would still break because of my occupation and my hands staying in water. The Viviscal tablets are definitely accelerating growth and minimizing breakage in both my nails and my hair. During my last shampoo/Condition of my own hair, I was definitely happy about the growth and solidarity of it. I have been flat iron free for about 6 months. I have been sensitive scalp relaxer free for about two years. I am definitely sticking with the Viviscal tablets. They are worth it!
ReplyDeleteOkay, Just as Awsome as I think you are, no maybe not that Awsome, where can you purchase these tablets? First hearing of them. And not to be too weird or anything, but if I had the chance,I would so catch the first flight out of Little Rock, Arkansas to sit in your chair! You ROCK!!!
ReplyDeleteOh, I blew the picture up, "Rite Aid" got it. ¦:P
ReplyDeleteMichelle: You are wonderful yourself! Thanks for the feedback! Yes, Rite-Aid sells them for $49.99 in North Carolina. For some reason, they are located in proximity of the Rogaine products. I am not sure why, but hopefully this will assist you in your search. I really can see a difference in my fingernails with just one tablet a day. I use my fingernails as a judge for my hair. Let me know after you have been on them for a couple of weeks. The tablets are amazing! I look forward to hearing back from you!
ReplyDeleteHi Benita, I ordered my supply of VIVISCAL TABLETS today. They have a great deal at VIVISCAL.com buy 2 get 1 free + free shampoo and free shipping. Also, by entering the upon code: FAVORITES, YOU GET $10.00 OFF B/C AUGUST IS HAIR LOSS AWARENESS MONTH! While supplies last. Can't hardly wait till they get here! By thy way, the CHI DEEP BRILLIANCE products are working out Great!
ReplyDeleteThanks Michelle for the online discount information! I am happy that the Chi products are working for you. Their conditioner seem to have a little more protein in them than I need for some clients. So they are not a good fit for everyone all the time; but it is good to have it available when you need them! Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteNewer packaging has two 30 pack sheets versus the old packaging was THREE 20 pack sheets. It still equals to 60 tablets. I guess they needed to cut extra costs. I still believe in these pills. I have been taking them for over three months/90 days so I filled out the survey that comes with it. I wanted to give them feedback for those with relaxed hair.
ReplyDeleteHi Benita, I was just curious as to if you've ever tried the new Viviscal Professional Strength product. It can only be bought or sold by professionals, or Salons. The ingredients are a little different and stronger. Also as professionals we can buy them at great discount, sell them for a small profit, as well as help others. I think there great!
ReplyDeleteHi Michelle! I was not aware of a new Viviscal formula! I will check into it! Honestly, I did not think that the Viviscal could get any better. Smile. Definitely thanks for the "heads up." On a separate note, I am going to be cautious about the new formula because "new formulas" in any type of drug prescription or not, is still considered "trial period" until they get past a ten year period without a recall (for me). So I probably would not order the new formula until it has been on the market for at least a year. Regardless, I will check it out!
ReplyDeleteHi Michelle: I just checked out ViviscalPro information. Apparently, they have increased the protein and added biotin to the professional strength. I still have some biotin tablets that I discontinued taking once I switched to the Viviscal. I personally do not want to overdue anything; so I am going to definitely stick with the original formula for now. Thanks so much for making me aware of the professional formula. Happy New Year! Also, if you are on the professional strength, let me know the feedback!
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year to you as well!!! Thanks for checking into Viviscal pro.formula. Well I have been taking the Viviscal pro for a little over a month now, but I have a delima, Nioxin changed all their formulations awhile back, they took some of their best ingredients out of their products! My husband and I both used the old #3 system. Now since their formulation change for the quote, "better" neither of us like the Nioxin anymore. So ever since I've been trying to find a new shampoo&conditioner that will work for me, but haven't had any luck yet. On top of that just recently I've started to have some scalp issues, and I'm not quite sure what the cause of it might be. So anyway that's my hair care delima. Hopfully I will solve it soon. Any suggestions on a new shampoo/conditioner similar to the old Nioxin form. Already tried joico CLINICURE, it was a no go for us, I am currently trying Bosley, together w/Paul Mitchell's special tea tree for my scalp problems.
ReplyDeleteHey! I have steered away from those medicated, scalp focussed shampoos and conditioner because they say you have to continue to use them or your original challenges can become worse. However, if it works, then it works! In the past, I was certified with Therapro brand products. Also, I have used the Grund ReviveTH line. Viviscal has shampoo and conditioner as well. If Bosley does not work, then maybe the Viviscal shampoo and conditioner should be next to try. I have not used any medicated brand for any extended periods of time. If you are not into relaxers (no relaxation) then consider the Bee Mine products. They have "sulfur enriched" hair dressings. People who get relaxers must discontinue usage for around two weeks around relaxer time. This makes me nervous, I hate restrictions. Smile. I hope these suggestions help. By the way, Grund products may have changed their name to "Surface" products. Talk to you later!
ReplyDelete"Takeover Tabatha" (Tabatha Coffey) recommended the Viviscal tablets on Dr. Oz show today!
ReplyDeleteHey Michelle: Have you tried the Pureology Hydrate shampoo and conditioner? It is a sulfate-free line. Clients that come to me with "itchy" scalps seems to find that the Pureology line reduces the condition, and itchiness eventually disappears. From my understanding, switching to any higher end sulfate free product line may be beneficial long term. I hope this helps. I am really skeptical about medicated haircare unless prescribed by a dermatologist. Talk to you soon! Keep me posted.
ReplyDeleteHi Benita, thank you for your time & advice. I received the Viviscal shampoo free w/both my Viviscal orders the extra strength and the professional line. I used the extra strength shampoo once and decided it dried my hair out too much. It has saylic acid in it. So I quit useing it. When the professional Viviscal shampoo came I just put it on the shelf. So I read your advice about using the Viviscal shampoo and got the professional formula out to read the ingredients. No saylic acid, and + some other great moisturizing & strengthning ingredients. So, I mixed'em together, 2 washes later, It's worked like a dream!!! :) thanks SO MUCH!!! :)
ReplyDeleteCelebrity hairstylist Kim Kimble mentioned these Viviscal tablets on last week on the Ricki Lake Show along with biotin as a supplement.
ReplyDeleteI was in CVS Drug store today and noticed that the Viviscal tablets are on sale for $39.99 until January 19, 2013. The packaging has changed. The ingredients have also changed. The tablets now have Biotin and Iron as well as a few other vitamins added. Careful not to overdose if you are taking other dietary supplements.
