Sisterlocks: Six years and ten months Anniversary

Locs versus Wig

This past month I had a lot of events I attended. It was also my six years and 10 months Sisterlocks Anniversary.  I purchased a $30 synthetic wig to change up my look.  I also found a store named Ashley Stewart that has some gorgeous, fitting clothes for my unique body shape.

I enjoyed the Kountry Wayne comedy show in another Ashley Steward top.

I love taking pictures with eagles. There is nothing like seeing his "red bottom shoes."  Awesome, Clean comedy. His sparkling attire lit up my face.

While at the comedy venue, a young lady pointed to me  and said "Grandma, that is how my hair is going to look when it grows out."  I smiled and kept walking.  Honestly, her hair texture was cute, but definitely not the same texture as my hair.  I didn't want to burst her bubble. Her locs will mature differently than mine.

I am really loving Ashley Steward clothes.  I also admire my loc length.

Sisterlocks Anniversary: Six years 8 months

Six years and eight months have gone by since my Sisterlocks establishment. With or without makeup, low maintenance hair is an awesome feeling.

My loc length is undeniable at this point.   Updo's are no problem!

My locs bend with me.

The mirror was spotty, but I see a leaner, meaner me coming through.

Five years and seven months Sisterlocks Anniversary

I am very late with this anniversary post.  Life has been throwing some curveballs at me.  I've had to batter up! I am wearing some vintage WilliWear and some new Torrid Fashion. This was my Superbowl 2018 outfit.

Five years 7 months Sisterlocks Anniversary.  Waist level by year end is my forecast.

Working out once a week in bootcamp mode.  I am still losing mostly inches.

Red, Black and White is one of my favorite color schemes!

Lacer Set on my Longer Locs

My Sisterlocks are 4 years 3 months old.

The Lacer wet set gave me waves more than actual curls.

I used  two rows per lacer.  Both ends of the lacers we used as wrapping mediums.

My 2nd day hairstyle shows length but I miss the fullness of a tighter set.

My Loc Length at 3 years 10 months

Yes, it is all mine!!!  3 years 10 months later!

I will probably always direct my back length toward my front profile.

Medium manicured and embracing my gray hairs that are increasing!

Sisterlocks Check-in at 3 years 5 months

All my clients are starting to notice my Sisterlocks length at 3 years and 5 months.  Yes, it's my anniversary again!  I check-in every month. This is it!

I have a ton of hair accessories.  I pinning and clipping my front into partial updos.

I wet set my locs with perm rods three days prior to this little photo shoot.  I used the Lottabody Setting Lotion- the newest formula.

I am still hand interlocking as needed and as I have time.  Life and Locs are all good!

Two Years one month Loc Length Check-in

For those focus on loc length, this photo shoot is with my hair wet.  As it dries, my hair swells and becomes shorter but more volumious.

The side with the larger locs pictured here.

I like covering my forehead, but I can not see to service my clients.  So I usually pull it back.

My wet hair was ruining my cosmetic makeup application. I still have my one lone bottom corner loc taking the lead in length.

I'm below shoulder length in the back even with my head upright.

I am still self- tightening.  So far, I am still learning about my locs i.e. my hair. I am still trying to decide when to condition and when not to condition.  I am still trying to decide on styling and a regimen as it gets longer. I will keep everyone posted when I get it all together.  LOL!
