Crochet Hair: Nami Locs

I literally had to back up and do a double take when I saw these locs in the beauty supply store.

The Nami Locs look like my own Sisterlocks.  I was blown away. I never thought that I would find faux locs that looked like my own texture. This crochet hair would happily serve as Loc extensions for a special occasion.  The brand is Laude & Co.  I feel that they would be too heavy to complete a full head of crochet braids based on the amount to make sure the roots get enough coverage. This is just my opinion.

Crochet braids 101 for 2020

River Locs 14" Crochet braids by Benita Blocker

Crochet braids are my number one recommendation for those needing a change from their usual natural hair routine.

I highly recommend removal after four to seven weeks since you can not shampoo the crochet braids. Going months can cause your braids to dreadlock especially if you are sweating a lot. Removal gets more and more difficult after seven weeks.

I customize each client with a braiding pattern based on how they want to wear their look.

The Loc Nation: April 2016 Honorable Mentions

Loc Crush:  Willow Smith

Willow Smith is rocking locs on the covers of W magazine (April 2016 edition) and Teen Vogue ( May 2016 edition).  They are starter locs!  Bold move. She is a trendsetter.

For those who want loc extensions, I learned to use Marley hair to complete the loc extensions!  I attended the Design Essentials "Mane Event" seminar to get hands-on training in Charlotte, NC USA!

Three bundles of natural hair by Indique is how this platform artist achieved her "big hair."  This picture is not a loc related picture, but it was worth mentioning.

Also, faux locs for crochet interlocking is now available.
