Sisterlocks Anniversary: Selah Boutique Styling

 

It's my Eight years and four months Sisterlocks anniversary. I needed to revamp my wardrobe on a "CitiTrends" budget.

Selah Boutique offers curvy fashion and clubwear. Because I am short-waisted, I don't need baggy clothes as a curvy model.

I'm also engineering outfits to work with my body needs including reversing ties.

I'm enjoying different bursts of color.

I'm enjoying mixing the pieces.

I'm definitely trying to work out/exercise more.

Some outfits are more lounge wear.

Some outfits are more formal.

My Selah Boutique selections may not last past a year, but they are a lot of fun. I

watch closely for limited time deals.

Eight years and one month Loc-versary

 This blogger interface has changed, and I upgraded my phone. So it took me a little longer to pull this article together. It is eight years and one month Loc-versary.

I am still Fighting for justice for my younger self in my #round2mark3 campaign.

So close to the finishing line. I need closure. I need justice. No one gets to drop the ball this time.

I am a queen, and I am forever a princess according to my Heavenly Father.

As a Sigma Gamma Rho, I enjoy sporting my sorority colors.

Sisterlocks Anniversary: Six years 7 months Travel Edition

During my Six years, seven months Sisterlocks Anniversary, I traveled to three countries (Japan, Germany, London/U.K.) in nine days.  The Sisterlocks made for maximum enjoyment of my vacation days.

6 years and Four months Sisterlocks Anniversary

I designed this blue velvet pantsuit.  Foxx Skynz by Design brought the sample to life.

Six years four months Sisterlocks Anniversary.  They say the color blue is a sign of success.

Loc Journey and Life Journey - both require fights and perseverance.  I have taken a lot of punches. I have delivered my own blows. I am still standing by the grace of God. I love my exotic, long locs. God has a new chapter around the corner for my life, and my long locs are a part of that rebirth.

Four years 11 months Sisterlocks Anniversary

I used "Tibet Jewels" Fair Trade Recycled Silk Sari Ribbon Yarn to "headband" twist my Sisterlocks. I enjoyed the results of the waviness of my locs. However, I did get some of the colored threads clinging to my locs.  It was easy to identify the colorful threads and remove them from my locs.  Five or six threads were not bad.  My hair also took on the smell of the sari ribbon yard temporarily.  I plan to shampoo or wash the yarn again before repeating this method.  

I definitely plan to repeat the headband set!

Believe it or not, this anniversary was the first time that my Sisterlocks actually felt heavy during my shampoo.  I am not sure if that will be my "new normal" feeling or not, but  maybe I just need to catch up on my root tightening.  I will keep you posted next month!
