As Seen on TV Soft Rollers Work on Micro-locks!

I first introduced these As seen on TV "Wrap Snap and Go" Comfort Hair Rollers in 2011.  My client actually found these in the Goodwill stores within recent months. For straight hair, the curls that result from these rollers are a little too tight and irregular for most people. However, fast forward to 2014 when natural hair styling is at an all time high!

I started rolling my locks with these and they are comfortable.  I can put as many locks or as little locks on one roller and twist them up.

These rollers work for medium to long locks.
November 2015 picture - still using them!

Those interested in a Bantu Knot Set and Styling tutorial for straight hair should click on the link in this sentence.

These rollers are soft and flexible with a snap closure.  I have been re-hydrating my locks at night assuming that the existing hairspray already in the hair will work as a setting agent.  I roll my locks with these comfort rollers.  Then I have to hairspray my final styling again the next morning.  So far this regimen delivers hydration at night and volume/curl in the morning.

Hot Buns As Seen on TV

Wedding time is upon us.  No matter how long your hair is, most updos need a little "filler" to give volume.
The "Hot Buns" come in two colors:  One for dark hair and the other for light hair.  They can be found on the "As Seen on TV" aisle.
There are two "rolls" that come in the pack.  The price is around $10.00 USD.
There are velcro strips up and down the fillers.  They are removable.  They assist with rolling the hair around the filler.
However, if you just want to snap them close and use just like a typical donut filler, I would remove the velcro strips.  They pull the hair.
Hair pins can be used with this filler.  It feels the same as the regular $3.00 donut fillers that have been around for generations.  There is a built-in drawstring to secure the bun for "pin-less" application.

Product Review: Gray Away - Medium Brown

I wrote an article on the Gray Away in the Black color a few months ago.  It was more of an introduction to it.  Now, that I have tried the Medium Brown and the Black formulas, I like the Black color better than the Medium Brown.  Here's why:  This spray comes out with some pressure.  If you hold the can too far back, you can not control the area that the spray covers. If you hold the can too close, it is too concentrated.  So about 5 inches away as I am demonstrating in the picture above seems to work better.

The Medium Brown color has a reddish undertone.  The Black color seems to be more natural looking.

The product "airbrushes" well.  It has a decent hold, and  it is only $9.99 at CVS in the "As seen on TV" aisle.  I like it better than the Roux "Tween Time" sticks.
