Hair by Benita Blocker. This client started with me in March 2012. She has Type 3 hair. She does "wash and go" styling at home with Mixed Chicks Leave-in products and some of Miss Jessie's Baby Buttercreme. When she came to me, she was using the "Knockoff" products from Sally's Beauty Supply. I explained to her about the inferior ingredients in the "knockoffs" so she started investing in the real product brands. She and I can definitely see a difference in her hair. She comes in periodically for straightening (Her 7th visit with me). I straighten her hair with the marcel flat iron and stove, then I curl her hair with the #60 marcel iron which delivers this Brazilian Wave Look.
She does not have any hair extensions. This is all of her natural hair. No relaxers. She had color treated hair when she came to me in March 2012. The growing out of the color gives her an ombre effect to her hair.
The #60 marcel iron delivers the curls of the lavender magnetic roller set which gives the S-curl, natural wave look.
Maintaining phenomenal hair through education on techniques, tools, and products!
Phenomenal . . .

Ombre Hair Using Hairdreams Hair Extensions
Applebaum Salon has been a Hairdreams Luxury Hair Extensions Partner salon since 2004. Using Hairdreams' "top of the line" hair is a great way to achieve Ombre hair. If we only go for thickening, then two colors will show through. If we try for lengthening, then we end up with three colors: The roots, the blended colors, the pure extensions' color.
Hairdreams require a consultation to determine the number of pre-tipped strands that are needed to achieve the look that you desire. At least 50 strands is needed to achieve Ombre hair without adding any length.
Hairdreams strands blend nicely with the existing hair.
Hairdreams is a preferred brand of hair extensions by celebrities such as Lady Gaga.

Achieve Ombre Hair: Three Hair Coloring Techniques
Pictured is Raven Symone sporting an Ombre hair coloring technique. As I was watching the Ricki Lake show last week, Celebrity stylist Kimberly Kimble showed an "ombre" hair model. This word "ombre" caught my attention. So I had to do my research to find that Ombre hair is the two toned hair trend. Ombre is spelled with a french accent aigu on the "e" which I do not know how to create in this blog editor; however, the look can be achieved by three different hair coloring methods.
As seen in Jessical Biel's ombre hair, the look can be achieved with permanent color and/or lightener(hair bleach) by a professional colorist at a salon like "Bumble and Bumble" so that the two colors will blend naturally.
Secondly, you can try temporary Ombre haircoloring by chalking the hair. I have a few other articles on this blog about hair chalking.
Of course, if all else fails, you can go for "Ombre" two toned hair extensions. This pack of "Ombre hair" is probably five or ten years old. I do not even think that they called two toned hair Ombre back then. The package description just says "Euro weaving" hair. I really think that this two toned hair look made a "comeback" with a fierce, celebrity upgrade.
So now, when you see gorgeous two toned hair, you can say "I love your Ombre hair!"
