Product Spoilage within two years

Paraben free means no preservatives, but it also means that the shelf life is limited.  I am having to trash "half full" products because of product spoilage.
This Bee Mine product was made in December 2011 based on the product code, but it started to smell rancid already.  I think one ingredient is probably spoiling the whole jar.  I really think that this jar is only one year old.  That's money down the drain.
This KeraCare Natural Textures Hair Milk seems to spoil quickly as well.  The 2010 bottle is already separated and the smaller 2011 bottle that I just opened smelled spoiled from day one.  I know what it should smell like . . .
Again, with the 2011 bottle, it is probably one ingredient that is spoiling the whole bottle.  Just be careful when purchasing "paraben free."  You need to get your hands on it as close to the manufacture date and use it within a year!

  1. Great post! I've had to throw away products and this explains why.

  2. I thought so!! I threw away my jar of Bee Mine Luscious becuase it no longer worked like it did when I purchased it last year! I didnt think to look at the expiration date. I guess that's the draw back of natural hair products...short shelf life! Product junkies like me should take notice! thanks for pointing this out.

  3. I am a full time bee mine user. I use most of the products in the line Great products...myy hair thanks me. I have a lot of hair and I go through my jars of bee mine in a few months. So it is perfect for me since I never have any that lasts long enough to go bad.

    1. Great point Mook! It is best to settle on a hair regimen and buy only what you need. I love Bee Mine products; that is why I sell them. Unfortunately, if I buy more inventory than I can both sell and use then that is money lost. I hope that you can relate to my salon inventory concerns. I love feedback. Thank you for being a great role model for product line loyalty.
